Stolen Disco 4 YX15XCT Sheffield
My Discovery 4 was nicked off my drive two hours ago.
CCTV captured it - 1 minute 11 seconds from walking in to driving off, and that included cutting off the steering wheel lock.
Keyless ignition, not entry, driver's door window was smashed to gain entry.

Police are dealing.

Gutted.
Camera shows me walking out to investigate a noise seconds after they'd gone.
Also shows one of the three people waiting by my front door - presumably to give me a wallop if I'd come out whilst they were still working on it.19?? Sorry to hear this, it does seem to be happening more and more often, probably fuelled by the rise in value of the D4, and Sheffield area seems to be a particular hotspot..
Is there anything on the car than sets it apart from others ? and rough mileage ? just so if anything comes up (uncommon colour) it will ring alarm bells!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Thanks guys.
Nothing heard from police overnight, so guess it's not parked up locally, checking for a tracker.
They did confirm that there are a number of them that have been nicked around the city. The midnight blue one around the corner appears to have none of the anti-theft bits done (spare wheel guard, security screws in light clusters etc, steering wheel guard) and isn't covered by CCTV, and that's still there.
Hope it doesn't go next!
Obviously stolen to order. The CCTV footage I have clearly shows that they were fully prepared.
The only thing visually that is unusual is that it's fitted with black rally style mud flaps, with the Land Rover in white on them. I'll put up a pic if I can find one later.
Trying to find a positive - at least I no longer have to worry about the crank snapping!

Might be worth putting in a word with your neighbour in case they would like to try a few extra security measures "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

Bummer.
The only thing I did when my last D4 was stolen from my driveway was to add a tracker (TruTrak) and a steering wheel lock (Stoplock). Annoying to hear that the steering lock is not much a deterrent if the thieves are determined and come prepared.
Anyway. Hope there is a happy outcome - recovery or massive insurance payout.D1 300Tdi - gone

Gutted for you
If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of steering wheel lock did they get through in 90 seconds?

Must admit, not a great one. It was called a Truck Club, rather old.
Kept meaning to buy a disc one (Disklok?) but put off by the inconvenience factor of those.
But got lulled into a false sense of security thinking the scum bags would go for the cars around me that don't even have that.
Paying that price now, but I suspect it's immaterial - if they want to nick it they will.

Me too, I’ve just bought 3 of them. I was told that so long as you put the clamp part of the Stoploc pro elite around a steering wheel spoke, it prevents removal by them just cutting through the steering wheel either side of the clamp.

Just to add, really sorry about your car. Theft of expensive cars is rife around here too. The local man fitting driveway posts has been very busy!

Sadly - suspect you are right. Better quality might help but I think even if you fitted a couple of Hyena’s they’d still be away with them and be selling pups on Gumtree in 6 weeksCorris Grey SDV6 D4 2015 HSE

…also had my D4 2015 attempted theft Sheffield
My car was also targeted and very close to Millhouses park Sheffield on the 30th Nov midday. S17 location.
They failed to start it. I have keyless disabled and have moved the OBD. They smashed the driver glass and clearly couldn’t get it started quick enough. They gave it 5 mins before driving off in a white van. Sadly no van details as I didn’t see it. The balls of these people to be doing this on a residential street in the middle of a day when most people are working from home these days. Amazing.

I'd say moving the ODB port is what saved yours there.
I can see them on the CCTV hooking something up to mine.
Moving it was something I'd meant to do, but...
