Stolen Santorini Black Discovery 4 HSE LS15 HDG

Hi,

Unfortunately I woke up on Monday morning (30th April) to find my Santorini Black 2015 Disco 4 HSE Reg LS15 HDG stolen from my driveway in North West London. I've had it since new, I never thought someone would want to steal a 3 year old car.

I assume they used the method of extending the key signal to open the car and drive away was used. What I don't understand is if they stop and turn off the ignition they cannot start the car again, so they have to leave it running?

I recommend people get a signal blocker for there keys, I wish I had Big Cry

Mike

Having coded a new key for my own car with an IIDTool I would think they drive it away and do just that, it is easy to delete the existing keys and set up new ones.

Really sorry to hear your news Big Cry

I have a 2015 model with keyless and worry about the same thing happening to me also, 2nd key is always in a blocker, but I'm thinking best option would be to switch off keyless! (I may and go and do this now)

Sorry to hear your loss.

A RR and Disco 4 pinched from around me recently so switched off my keyless a while ago.

Also seems to be a spate of D4 rear lights being stolen - Police say its something to do with growing cannabis
 Last of the D4 HSE...

Big Cry sad news

Any joy with the Police in hopefully recovering your car or will this just be another crime statistic?

It's not showing up on HPI as stolen yet? Have you reported it yet?

In contrast I leave the keyless fob to my Nissan X Trail as close to the front door as possible in the vain hope that someone will nick it, funnily enough it's still there every morning Whistle

I have a couple of these to keep my keys in. You can get about 3 keys in one pouch. I have 2 of them, spare keys to LR and Jag are kept in one, hidden in house. Active keys are kept in another in the house, out of view.

They do work.
