Presume it was using the keyless entry method?

You can also turn off the keyless entry

Sorry to hear about your loss. Recently several Discovery’s and Range Rovers were stolen in one night in our village in Essex. I now need to up my security systems ( initial response was to purchase a locking bar for the steering wheel) and would like to purchase a locking cover for the on board diagnostics socket.
Before I do that, I want to inspect the socket, which I guess is behind the panel below the steering wheel. Am I correct in my guess, and how is the panel removed? I assume it just pulls off, but I don’t want to break any clips needlessly.

Richard

I find it too convenient day to day, and would really miss it fully disabled.

Going a bit off topic for the poor OP whos having a Censored time, but I find it so much easier not having to find my keys from various pockets, just have the fob in my pocket and can open doors and jump in and start.

Especially when keys are 4 layers down inside a dry suit for example Thumbs Up

You don’t need to touch the remote. Just pull the handle and the doors unlock. Press button on handle to lock. I’ve got it on the Volvo - doesn’t exist on D3 Mr. Green - and it’s one of those things like a heated windscreen that you don’t understand how you could live without once you get used to it.

Thank you all... :)

Many thanks for your comments everyone, and appreciate your thoughts... Thumbs Up

It was taken off our drive at 0253hrs this morning, 31st December 2018.

It certainly looks like a keyless entry jobby, as he just walks up to it, opens it, starts it and drives off, all within seconds few.

As you can see from the video link in my twitter feed >
https://twitter.com/venomator/status/1079685499730755584?s=21

I have no idea when, or even if the cloning took place, both my keys are locked in the safe every night and when not in use.

The only time recently I did not have my keys was when it was in the LR workshop in Peterborough for investigative work... Rolling Eyes

Thanks again everyone, it is much appreciated... Mr. Green

Sorry to see that happen to you. That was just too easy, I would be looking at the LR garage for some answers. Hope you get a positive outcome.
