| Strange central locking problem after replacing solenoid |

Hi All,
I have a strange central locking problem. The right rear door solenoid failed so I replaced it with an eBay special:

However, after a few days of usage the solenoid became rather noisy. The central locking was working perfectly apart from this issue.
After a few more weeks of the noisy solenoid (I was busy so didn't get round to doing anything about it), the central locking throughout the car started to play up.
Either the car wouldn't lock or unlock at all, or some doors would lock or unlock or the mirrors wouldn't fold in or out.
I then replaced the solenoid with a Land Rover original. It's not noisy (so far). However, the other issues still persist.
I have tried pulling and replacing the fuses for the central locking. It worked immediately afterwards then failed again.
If I turn off two-stage unlocking, things seem more reliable, but not perfect. You often have to unlock the car a few times to make the driver's door unlock. Last night when I was playing with things, all the other doors wouldn't unlock, but opening the driver's door would cause them to unlock.
Very weird! What could have happened? Could the module in the door where I replaced the solenoid be faulty? Could it be coincidental? Has it caused a problem with the central locking module? Do I need to replace that? If I do, I presume I would need to get my keys coded to it?

Thank you! I did try that earlier, but to no effect.
Unfortunately, the seller's warranty doesn't cover me fitting the part - they keep asking for a declaration on headed notepaper to say the work was carried out by a qualified mechanic even though I said I did it myself. I could get a local garage to do one for me I suppose but no garage would want to do so in case of liability Unfortunately also, the warranty does not cover damage or labour due to faulty parts.
Ho hum...
Any other suggestions?
