Hi all driving in the lake district last week and noticed my Disco 3 makeing a strange sucking sound, it appears only when you take your foot off the throttle and only when the engine is warm. It's different to the normal wind down of the transmission and tyres, and sounds similar to blowing across a empty bottle. It also happened when driving up the kirkstone pass but this noise was constant as the engine was under load.
The noise appears to emanate from the front somewhere, and is instantaneous in response to on and off the throttle.
I have no idea, everything seems normal at idle, and brakes and or steering action have no effect.
any ideas please
