Stratstone Used Price Guarantee!
Guys
How about this for an offer:
We offer a 5 day price guarantee, if you can find an identical vehicle cheaper at another non Stratsone group dealer within 40 miles we will refund the difference. The car must be an identical spec, model year, offer and mileage must be within 2000 miles of our vehicle. Imports excluded!
I wonder how many people will be claiming under that guarantee?
I'm off to buy one right now!
Cheers Paul2006 TDV6 S Auto, Buckingham Blue, for the wife and kids.

Now read the small print
1) Must be UK Main Dealer within 40 miles from yours.
2) Must be in writing from said dealer
3) Identical Spec and 2000 miles.
4) within 5 days of placing order.
I think thats a reasonable bet. If you are going to take the time to shop round the main dealers within 40 miles after you put an offer down , wouldnt you already have done it.

I also love their Guaranteed Minimum Future Value £30,000 Car in 3 years , now £6500 with 9000 miles per year otherwise is an extra 10p per mile.
So £598 per month to in effect lease a Basic Disco 3. So to also get enough to do the deal again you need to save another £250 a month to replace the deposit. So thats £848 a month to lease a bog standard D3 before even sticking a tow bar on.
Finance on a a GS £1000 down £499 per month APR 2.9% (couldn't be bothered to check GMFV)
Some deals they offering '1.5% typical APR' Craig

They quoted me 14.5% APR only last week on a 1 year old XS

I wouldn't buy a windscreen wiper blade from a stratstone dealer
they have got to be the most hopeless dealership network in the country
the last one I dealt with delivered me an un prepared car with none of the accessories i paid for fitted which promptly had an EPB failure and had to be lifted off my drive. they then sent the accessories to jaguar stockport instead of stratstone stockton and i had to wait 6 months to get my money back on the parts. Initially they said it was my problem and I would loose the money!!!!!"its probably a virus, you'll be right as rain in a few days and if you're playing sport try to favour the other leg"

To be fair some Stratstone dealers are better, and the one by Gloucester does seem to be the exception to the rule. In the last 12 months I've had nothing but good to report about them with one proviso - make sure you get a quote first and the get them to price match because they'er standard prices are considerably higher than other dealers LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
I was checking service prices Yesterday and the local Stratstone gave me base price of £480 for 30k but would said they are price matching on services.
"I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant"
Yup, that's what they wanted to charge me until I mentioned I could get it done for £xxx elsewhere after checking a few other dealers - they offered to match the price without quibble.
But I still ended up going down to see TLO at Yeovil for that service, and to pick up a few bits. Still despite the travel costs it came in considerably cheaper than the £480 originally quoted by Stratstones - and LR Yeovil's service is second to none LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
Whats Nicks 30k service cost ? (PM if you like)

Best check with him direct, because it's been 8 months since my 30K, but as I said I good considerable change out of the £480 quoted by Stratstones, despite the drive down there and having an MoT done at the same time.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
