"Suits You, Sir"
Now, I was partial to a dark suit and black briefcase in my business days.
However I see things on the [Harry] Styles front have moved on.
Don't think I'd want to keep up nowadays!!

Hope that’s not a crit, you’ll have the woke army on your case if it is. And above dude, if that word is allowed, will be taking you to the High Court coz you’ve injured his feelings via the twits on Twitter-ratty.
We certainly live in strange times.

Marketing and media.....It is essentially no more than an advert for Gucci. The suit was first shown earlier this year on the catwalk of the opening show, for their centenary year celebrations.
That it has attracted attention on a LR forum is proof of how effective it has been. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I won't post the link (swearing) but "Ozzy Man Reviews: High Fashion" on YouTube sums up a lot of it.

Well to be totally honest.
Me mid sixties, went on one of my lads stag doo's to Benidorm just before all this covid episode.
Forty odd men, youngest around 30, me around the eldest.
No detriment tho.. ive had my time
Anyways, three or four of the party, had jeans on I would have been ashamed to throw in the bin, never mind ware them. Holes jagged edges, under carriage hanging out. etc.etc. Vagrant looking would be an understatement. When I asked my lads if that mob was skint, hence the holy jeans they laughed at me. Telling me at least two pairs of those was well over ÂŁ500...
So in todays society I Think Young Harry looks rather Daper...đź‘Ś

I think some people are missing the point. It is an advert for Gucci, as they know it will get a high number of viewers. Harry Styles has featured in several Gucci campaigns over the past few years.
The suit he is wearing is a pastiche of 70's styling, colours and trends (bags for men). As I said, part of the Gucci centenary year celebrations.
Nobody, not least Gucci themselves is suggesting that such things are to be worn "to the pub". Indeed, it's couture piece, I'd be surprised if you'll even be able to buy a "ready to wear" version.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I’ll take a conservative dark suit made to measure or, preferably, bespoke from Savile Row rather than couture

Gopping, truly gopping. Not saying whether that’s the “suit” or the D5.

Me too, but we're not paid to promote Gucci couture at the Brits.
The difference between bespoke and couture, only being the amount that is sewed by hand, not by machine. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
