Just leave it on and let them do it.
It's only four bolts, in fact only two addittional ones.
Normally they will need to remove two of those anyway, as the plate shares two of the same bolts with the sump guard plate.
Mines going in on Thurs for service and I haven't even thought about removing it.

As Ron says leave it and it should be no bother. The only thing to watch for is that they don't shear the bolts taking it off. Thats what happened to mine and as it was not std LR equip they only shoved it back on with three bolts.
Although they did fix it for me F.O.C. once I asked about it.

Just be carefull if you use the D3 offroad as there could be a lot off sand or mud on the protection plates.

may take it off and paint it black
will give me a chance to put plenty of coats of hamerite and top coat on before i put it back on next weekend.
will also give me a chance to find some lettering for the RAYTEC badge

I dont think they need to remove it to change the filters. The oil filter is on the top of the engine I believe Duncan

Painting it will render BIG silver scratches on it when its used though. I was gonna do it but was persuaded not too. Then I am thinking about reflective adhesive sheeting, like what you see on road cones. When a car comes towards you it will reflect like a xenon, not sure about the legal implications though.
