I can tell already that disco.co.uk is going to be a friend for life! I've just used the 20 second sunroof recalibration routine and it worked fine. God knows how I would have found out about that one without this site.

.....fantastic!! Thank you so much for this post
My sunroof stopped working in the summer (left it open and there was rain!!). Assumed I had killed it.
Just tried the 20sec recalibrate.....and voila....good as new

My sun roof wasn't working and an auto electrician was due to sort this out.
No doubt a large bill would have been forthcoming.
You saved me the expense. Thanks for the advice all is now working fine.

Thanks very much.
Changed the battery on my LR3 2006 and after that the sunroof did not work. Checked the fuse and thought about taking it to the dealer but no need. The reset worked!
Very good website, a must for anyone with a Disco!

Its always worth reading the manual, the reset proceedure is in there page 190, it also tells you how to reset the electric windows if they go out of sync

I did look at the manual on page 125/ 126 (Sunroof) & it tells you the calibration procedure under the title "Operation after power supply interruption". But my power supply hadn't been interrupted, the sunroof just stopped working. So I looked on page 190 to double check & its for cruise control & not sunroofs

So mine didn't work ...... v annoying. The garage had a quick look after its service and with the fault mate attached still wouldn't go through the opening procedure. I and they didn't have the time to look further so will just leave it. You could hear the initial click but then just stopped. Any thoughts at all ?
