When I looked into this the dealer fix was very expensive (£400+) so managed to get a s/h complete roof with rails off fleabay for about £125 and took it out and fitted it myself - in doing so realised the drain channels were blocked with silt/dust [which may have been the reason for some of the moisture problems too] and found it very easy to re-align the roof - a bit fiddly and too-ing and groping, but actually an easy fix (c1.5hr job) and it has been fine ever since.
There were about 6 bolts holding it in and you have to take the wind-deflector off first and adjust when partially open and open it to different degrees to get to all the bolts - I did the true manly thing and just looked at it and worked it out for myself rather than rely on any instructions. Not complicated, I just took care as I didn't want to damage any interior or paintwork.
Mine had been pecked by crows/ducks/pigeons as well as probably hardened rubber due to age and sun made it worse. A plastic owl with a wind wobbling head in my drive cured the wildlife issue very easily!
All in all a pretty basic fix.

Hi Mitch
Thanks for the insight and the encouragement. Just back from my holidays so will be tackling this before autumn rains set in.
Cheers
