I work in the hospitality sector specifically hotels. As of last night we were at 85% capacity based on our reduced sleeper figures so it seems demand is certainly there for our particular operation. All restaurants have been rearranged to give 2m distancing between tables, bars have become seating only with table service, again all 2m apart.
Will see how many people come to the bar area later for drinks but I suspect most people will choose to stay in their rooms and order drinks on room service.

Out and about today I have to admit it was actually nice to see most places open, but at a glance all seemed to be sparsely populated, and certainly no queues, crowds or maurading drunks. Well that's the case for South Wirral anyway
I'm sure there will be some chaos reported tomorrow. Most of all I hope those who did venture out enjoyed themselves and that our favourite food and drink establishments can start to recover. I know some never will D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

So looking at hairdressers all wearing visors it just looks like all their breath is funnelled directly down onto the person being cut as they stand above them....

SWMBO's hairdresser came to ours this morning to cut her hair, she just wore a surgical mask, it was a bit awkward but everyone seemed to survive. I'd like to think all was well, guess we will need to see.
It was her first job since lockdown, she's doing 12 hours shifts for the next few weeks at least.
Strange times.
Anyone coming home from a weatherspoons bender right now? Anyone developed a cough? D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Living in Wales, as I do, my village local won't be open for a little while yet. But while I was out and about in my Tesco van this evening (have to do something while I'm waiting for the theatres to reopen!!) I happened to go through the middle of Chester, and the lack of any sort of social distancing among the people outside the pubs and clubs was astounding. Some places I passed had queues to get in, with people standing as closely together as they could get; and several pubs and bars had large groups of people outside them with absolutely no separation or distancing at all. I'm fully expecting a second spike in Covid19 cases very soon as a direct result of tonight...

Was great to get out last night, local pub, well managed with table service. Met up with my daughter who had come back from Manchester - all ok apparently though she did leave at about 17.00.
She was telling me that some research is indicating that CV19 has been with us a lot earlier than originally thought - autumn 2019 so we could be in the second spike now.Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.
