United Kingdom 2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 SE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 4

Hi Russell, i have one chassis number but a second will be perfect to make sure there are no silly changes ive not seen in the wires etc, if you can pm me the full from SALL it will be perfect.

You will have to forgive me for my questions also because ive not orderd the surround set on my car, nor have i played much with one that has the full surround kit fitted.

Can you choose a full screen picture of any of the cameras or is it all split like the ones showed on TopGear this week. or is it only certian cameras that are capeable of showing full screen pictures especially while going forwards.
Im not up to date with the standard functions and which screen/input is capable of what result etc etc.

Im obviousley thinking along the lines of TV/DVD at the same time as the caravan camera and i may make an interface that lets us switch between a standard camera and various other cameras or TV/DVD or video in ETC.
A bit like a electronic scart socket sort of thing.

Pete all the cameras can be viewed as a full screen and you can also select two cameras to be viewed at one time or all five together. You can also zoom in on individual cameras and move them slightly up, down left and right. Hope this helps.

I wasn't sure if Winger was pulling my leg Rolling with laughter when he indicated the cameras were also on a recording loop Shocked
If they are, then just need to work out how to access/play back from the hard disk. Very Happy

I can supply D4 tailgate handles with cameras if anyone wants one
Will fit a D3 but you need to pull the guts out of the original handle as the D4 one has a six pin connector (at least the ones with rear cameras do) and the D3 is 4 pin. Two extra pins are for the camera power. For video the camera comes with a Fakra connector. Got some pics somewhere of fitting it to a D3

Pete you are right, the module is under the front N/S seat. The module has four plugs one from each camera, each colour coded. If you remove the plug it has four pins in it. PM me an email address and i will send you some pictures. thumbsup: Need to be able to switch between rear camara and caravan camera as the camera is used for the t railer reversing aid Thumbs Up

Yes, see this thread, though I'm still trying to work out the pin-outs (which reminds me I know a man that said he may be able to find out). If you want some I'll check on prices and availability for you The End

Mr. Green

Looking at the diagrams there seems to be 2 types of set up depending on how many camreas are fitted, im not sure if the rear camara changes depenging on the application.

Ive got a camera on order from my dealer and i will have it soon so ill dig some more.

Slimer where did you locate your cameras from ?

Cheers Pete, looks like this is going to far from simple, not just a matter of separating out the power and video and using them 'normally' (like you can with the rear view camera) Confused

I can't reveal my sources but I can get you a price if you want some?

Hi
yes as you see the rear camera has 2 plugs, one for video and one for power/gnd
but i think this is only fitted if you only have the one camera where as if you have the full kit the wiring is as above.

yes please pm me prices and part numbers if you have for all the cameras.
