Suspension air leak

It sounds like I may have an air leak on the fron passenger side suspension

If I try to raise the car, the rear shouts up but the front struggles and then I get an error message saying that the system will raise when cooled or its raising slowly. If you stand by the front wheel, you can hear a distingtive air leaking noise

Once at normal height though, it remains fine, so I dont know if the air suspension shuts off and hols the air in until it needs to change?

Is there any common place to check where it might be leaking from?

Does anyone have diagram of where I would even start to look?

Thanks

Ade

I'm sure I just replied to this..... Confused

Anyway, it might just be gunked up, so give this a try.

Or it might be early signs of potential failure,

I dont think (hope) the compressor is at fault, it operates as normal, and stops when the height is at the correct level

I think it is over working its self due to a leak

I can definetly here a hissing sound at the front passenger wheel that I haven't heard before, or hear at any of the other wheels

I dont know how the air line connects to the suspension? whether it could of undone, if theres a joint, etc...

Does anyone have a diagram/schematic of the system?

Thanks

Ade

Stick your head underneath the middle front of the car - just below the radiator, and see if the hissing is coming from there. I found the hissing really difficult to locate - but it did sound like a tyre was leaking originally. Apparently there's some pipe there... mine was loose and chaffed against something and wore through. Was fixed under extended warranty. I asked how much it would have cost to get fixed had I paid for it. I can't remember how much it was, but I did remember being surprised that it was much less than I imagined it would be. They told me it was very rare though - so yours might not be that.

Best get it sorted to avoid your compressor working too hard Thumbs Up

D2 airbags used to wear out on the fold between off-road and normal height. Sticking them into off-road height straightened the fold and closed the leak - might be worth trying that.
