Suspension calibration fails with iid tool and got error 85 |
|
Just tried the guided suspension calibration with iid tool and always get "Error 85". Couldn't find any error code list in the manual.
Reading faults shows error C1A00-54 Control module - System programming failure - missing calibration
(and many more related to the suspension, so I'm not sure about the true source of the mentioned problem.)
I did the calibration procedure in the past and it worked... Any ideas?

- Go in the service menu and choose control valves.
- Set everything as close to zero as you can.
- re enable EAS
Measure your heights
Clear faults if needed
Now go to manual calibration.
- Correct and upload
- Send it up and down again
- do another adjustment, bearing in mind you have to be perfect between left and right. You can be higher in the back
Clear faults if needed
If there are any left tell me more Fixing LR problems very far from Solihull.
That's why my newest car is a 1999 Disco 2 V8 with 285.000 miles
The problem is the missing documentation, not the LR

Thanks for your suggestion!
A big surprise this morning: Rear axle at maximum height - front almost at the lowest possible (more or less the same as left in the evening)
.
So I played around with the iid tool (Service/Test -> Suspension -> Test valves) and found that probably the front crosslink valve is not working! So today raising or lowering on both front wheels is very very slow or even not possible. Rear wheels can be easily lowered or raised with this tool. There must be something more wrong besides the initially reported problem!
Interestingly after clearing all faults no more suspension related faults are coming up although the cockpit shows the suspension error light.
So next step will be a full check of front suspension air pipes for leakage, check the front solenoid block?
