Suspension Fault

D3 passed its MOT this week and all has been well for a while. Today orange suspension warning light cam on - normal height only.

Just read the codes and I have C1A20-64 (6C). Help!
Will this be the leak in the end cap of the compressor and will I make things worse if I use the car for the next few days?

Great news ref MOT Thumbs Up , mine goes in on the 3rd July

Can U have a look at ur live readings to see the compressor is ok , then put some soapy water round the end cap

Has ur reservoir been replaced

C1A20-64 ( 28 ) Pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir -

Thanks Gary, I was convinced it'd fail just to pi$$ me off but instead it waits 3 days and throws a fault! Good luck with yours.

Can I get live values stationary with the engine running or do I need to drive it?

Hi

Many Thks for the good luck with mine weds, Thumbs Up

Last year my door lock failed whilst it was on the MOT ramp which was an instant fail Big Cry

Yes u can get the compressors live data whilst stationery and engine running

Via ur iid , U can also select ur front , reservoir , back valve blocks so as u press the suspensions height lever u will see them open and close

Here’s some data I took a while back as an example

Had a look at some old data sheets , this was before I knew my compressor was shot Whistle

Is just an example of the screen where I had selected the valves , so should change as u press the suspension height lever

Think the crosslink valve only opens when U disable the DSC , not 100% on that one

When u turn the engine off, gallery pressure will of course drop down when it first vents , then see what the figure is, keep an eye on it and see if it keeps dropping , if it does it indicates a leak

Hope it helps u Mate

Mine was a leak in the air tank
Could hear a hiss under the passenger doors

I have no other symptoms than the warning light at present. No sagging or dropping to its bump stops.
Have booked into to the indie for investigation as I need it fixed quickly as I'm towing the caravan next week.

Please let us know how u get on

Indeed as sea raider mentions ref the air tank, as the reservoir valve isolates the air tank when the engine is turned off, therefore suspension doesn’t drop

I think that’s right Whistle

Yeah, mine never dropped, just the dreaded bong and a warning light for me.

Easy peasy to change the tank, I just ground the bolts off and used new ones

When I had the same code, it was the dryer cap hairline crack. Replaced with Landy Air cap from ebay. Used water /washing up liquid mixture sprayed on to see the air leak. This was about 5 years ago and still on original compressor at nearly 14 years old.

My Indie diagnosed a leaky cap on the compressor.
I have ordered the kit from Landyair and will repair it myself at the weekend. Fingers crossed. Whistle

Dryer cap kit should arrive tomorrow so tonight I started trying to get the compressor out. 2 bolts cracked easily but couldn't get a spanner on the 3rd top bolt. Any hints or tips on how to undo it, please?
