suspension fault code with 2 inch spacer rods on my LR3

i, thanks for looking at my post. I have got the lift rods installed on my LR3 and it is showing up a suspension fault so it will drive in normal mode only. It is solvable by restarting but as soon as i go round a corner again etc it just comes up again and it goes into limited normal only mode.

Have any of you had this issue and do you know what it could be??

You need to get the fault codes read, it sounds like a faulty height sensor or even the steering angle sensor. But without the fault codes its just guess work.

Calibration

Did you re-calibrate the height sensors after your rod install?

I also have rhino rods, and you may need to re-calibrate the height for the sensors to adjust.
I used the standard normal height figure and add two inches to the height. They are something like 435mm front and 485cm back? Don't use those until you confirm. There's a post here on the numbers for front and rear, but I don't have it right now.
I read my codes and recall both steering and height sensors with a GAP Diagnostics tool. Best money ever spent I have saved thousands diagnosing faults and correcting them myself.

Also came in handy when I got tires rotated and the tire guy busted a shock and deflated the whole system. Sensors were thrown out of range due to the lift rods not giving the right range to the suspension height gods.

thanks, so it has been recalibrated and then the guys at the garage checked the codes for me. it had two codes come up which tank filling too slowly which hints a new pump and one was a sesor voltage wasn't correct. when we cleared and tested it again a couplde of times whilst driving to get the fault up[ again, it only came up with the tank filling too slowly.

I think i may just get on and bite the bullet and fit the new comprressor and hope that this solves it.....

Been driving round with 2" lift rods fitted for a couple of months now and not had a dickey bird from the computers. Happy driving Smile

New Compressor may not be it.

Well there are a number of things that could cause a slow to fill fault. Not always a replacement compressor is needed.
If you can get the specific fault code number and post here it would help/probably save you some money for real issues down the road.
Many issues with our air susp systems only require a $10 kit of o-rings, even a rebuild kit for the compressor is pretty cheap.

I assumed bad compressor but was able to save $$ from info here after getting an IID tool and posting the codes.
Good luck let us know if things worked out.
