| Suspension fault but working fine? |
|
Afternoon all, have an intermittent suspension fault when adjusting heights, turned the engine off and on and all would be back to normal, thought I’d check the sensors and plugs, done the fronts bit of muck in the plugs sensor arms moving fine, gave them some WD40 for good measure, now I have the orange warning triangle and suspension fault......guess it didn’t like me exercising the arms, system still works all Heights selectable I do get the odd ‘extended mode re select when obstacle removed’ message but that clears do you think one of the front sensors is shot? Although I’m guessing if one was I’d not be able to select different heights?
Any ideas?

If you don't have a diagnostic tool, watch the 4x4 display as you exercise the different height settings. You may notice a rogue sensor there. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

I’ve no iId tool and I’ve no access to the 4x4 screen, should I try a battery disconnect?

No harm in trying. Best to get a diagnostic tool or take it to someone to read the faults and watch the live values. You can also check the height sensors themselves with a voltmeter on the bench IIRC but that sounds a bit painful TBH. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

It does! I’ve tried the battery disconnect but no joy so guess it might be seeing a duff sensor?!?
Off to look for an iId tool in the parts section!

You might try doing a new post asking for help locally. Someone with an IID, Nanocom or icarsoft would be able to help read the codes at least. I think they can all do live values as well and that feature isn't VIN locked on the IID (the other two aren't VIN locked at all). 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate
