Hi guys
My car is in now for the 5th time and 3 weeks. My motorplan expires at the end of March.
My problem:
1. Suspension (front right) start dropping immediately after switching can off.
2. After a while (Left front) adjusts to the dropping wheel.
3. Over night, the whole car adjusts to acees hight.
4. Error appears randomly "Suspension Fault", suspension fully adjustable still
5. Error is "Unrelated" according to LR
6. At the compressor, after switching off, the famous "disco fart" continues every minute untill the front is down
7. Leak test done (no problem)
8. When car is running, it's level, not sagging or dropping or uneven - Only when you switch off it starts. Over the weekend, SWAMBO went shopping, upon return (after an hour or so) the D3 did not drop I got excited, but when I opened a door, the compressor/valve block started "farting" and within 10 minutes down to Access Hight
Replaced sofar by LR:
1. New battery (as they thuoght the voltage was a bit low)
2. New air springs (bellows)
According to them, if there is no error that relates to a specific part, they cannot diagnose
They are trying however, but with no positive results. They have never seen such a problem.
Any suggestions/assistance/help/comments will be appreciated. 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Which dealer has the vehicle at present?
Maybe you should try another dealer - Midrand would be my suggestion. They have some very clued-up techies, and they are OK with taking input from enlightened customers like us Disco3.co.uk members.
It sounds to me like you have an issue with the valve responsible for the front right. We can confirm this with the faultmate perhaps, but right now I am on my way to barcelona.
Will be back Friday, then can happily spend some time with you diagnosing. I think you have my contact details?

Thanks Baben
It's at Bedfordview. I have your number, I am in Botswana from Friday to Sunday, we will make contact next week.
Is the Faultmate better/different to their IDS system? They cannot diagnose with IDS currently. 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

I doubt Faultmate is as powerful as their IDS, but it is certainly easier to use. Plus I suspect this is a case of " behind the knobs?

Hi Bruce
No, mine is Silver, but there is a good number of vehicles there since mine arraived 3 weeks ago
Makes one think, it seems that there is a lot of vehicles that have been drowned lately, probably takes some time dry it out. 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Therein lies the problem. I would strongly suggest that you do not use Bedfordview. I have only had poor service from them.

After replacing the airsprings, compressor, hight sensors and the pipes, the car still dropped on the front within minutes.
After asking again, what about the valve block, they quickly replaced the front and , It is now sorted (touch wood) and have been for a couple of days. 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Very good news the valve block seems to be an obvious place to start, but hey, now you have a new suspension!
On the downside, these techies have now had their fingers in all over your car
My faultmate is back, so come see me whenever you are ready

Paul and I never managed to hook up.
We were on opposite sides of Barcelona, and I had a full schedule including after-hours.
Next time I will make sure I have extra time

Baben - any hint how to see with the faultmate that somethings wrong with the valves? Mine "overnight" dropping is intemittent and not so quick/bad as DiscoJacques's. No fault codes stored; the height sensors showing "reasonable" values; it seems to me that there might be some occasional valve sticking - but cannot explain to myself which one could it be - seem that fornt left is lowering itself first then the other side and back follows (over two nights).
Or the front left is elaking and the rest of the system tries to match it ? but this process would need ECU to operate even with the car asleep which I do not think is happening. And in order to get the air from the whole system ig the front left is leaking - it would mean that actually all the valves (front left , right cross axle and the rea ones) need to leak through ?!? 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
