Suspension Issue......Normal Height Only Warning......

Just read this post

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic33387.html

and when having new tyres fitted 2 weeks ago the garage didn't do this. When I drove the car out the car was in off road height, I lowered it but since then I am getting a 'normal height only' available warning.

Is this a trip to a garage or any ideas?

Can you hear the compressor?

Maybe they jacked at the cover and have damaged it?

Assume it is a trip then to the stealers. Does it have to be an LR authorised dealer for this as I live in Cardiff and they are awful. There is an independent LR garage near me but can they do waranty work?

Cheers

Check if the compressor works to long. If so the problem is that it cannot build pressure and avantualy getting warm and no off road hight can be reached.

If the cover is damaged and dealer says they will not do under warranty, claim off the tyre mob.

Ahh
you never mentioned this when we spoke on the phone
Check the bracket and compressor covers under the car...maybe the tyre monkey jacked it on the alloy bracket thinking...(like quite a lot have done)....it was a jacking point

Sorry wasn't trying to mis lead you, still not 100% sure if it was the tyre thing as it didn't appear a an issue straight after. Problem wiht doing what you asked is that i kind of know where under the car is Embarassed Embarassed but the other bit (bracket and compressor covers) Confused . I'll look under and pretend I know and give you a bell Tuesday?

Canyonero, I would go to a dealer. It needs to be put onto the testbook to check the faults. Could be any of a number of things.

Doleawg, here's a thought..If the compressor is working and the loom's OK, maybe the steering angle sensor is registering a fault as it was not re-calibrated as part of the alighment. Mine actually failed when the car was very young and would cause all sorts of errors and cut me out of suspension height changing and TR settings.
