Suspension lowered, amber light

Hi all,
This afternoon seconds after starting the car, amber suspension light came on with the usual sound, and 'suspension lowered' appeared in the instruments. I got out of the car and saw that it was looking as if I had selected access mode.
Went back in, and tried to raise the suspension hight, but nothing was happening. So I drove home with the suspension lowered, which was quite stiff, and parked the car.
1 hour later I restarted the car, and although it was lowered, there was no amber light on the dash....I could then raise it to normal hight, off road hight, access hight etc normally...
I then plugged in the iidtool, and no fault codes were stored. I should have plugged it while the amber light was on, that way I might have found the fault. Car behaved normally ever since.

Any ideas?

Take it you gotba “bong” then suspension lowered. Suggest you look at the front offside ABS sensor cable . If it’s knackered then this is the symptom it will produce. Good luck but you really need to get the codes read.
Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

Thank you mate .. I will keep this in mind next time it happens ,
I started the car today and everything was fine .. could it be the battery ? Because before the issue I have stayed a long time on fixing the multimedia set up that recently installed.. l

Costa Rica

Yes, a low battery can produce all sorts of silly messages.
Better disconect the NEGATIVE led next time you do electrical work.
Fixing LR problems very far from Solihull.
That's why my newest car is a 1999 Disco 2 V8 with 285.000 miles

The problem is the missing documentation, not the LR
