Suspension reservoir problem |
|
I own a D4 for 5 years and haven’t faced any EAS troubles. So its new to me…Yesterday I bought a D4 with a suspension problem. When the car is off, it sinks on the left front wheel I think and after a short time the car is completely low due to self-leveling. Compressor tries to keep the car at a height which works reasonably well while driving. Compressor does keep coming on. In iidtool I see that reservoir valve is at 0%. Every now and then for a split second to 100%. When I disconnect the battery the car stays at a nice height overnight. I saw a message from c1a35 reservoir valve. General failure information general electrical failure and c1a20 compressor pressure increases too slowly. Compressor is noisy, but raises the car quickly to my feeling. I have checked the connectors and cleaned it with contact spray but can't find anything strange. Can i get a sharper diagnosis with iid or whether the valve is broken or whether there is a broken wire or something?
Edit: I tried to lift to off-road height and saw reservoir valve 100%.
So Maybe that problem is tackled. Still see left side sinking when battery is attached.

I’d say start with the front valve block… but the situation when the battery is disconnected is interesting.
Self leveling seems to be the catalyst.
I’m going to have a better read of the workshop manual…
Or…. is the ride height sensor mangled?? 2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green
