Suspension Stuck in Extended Mode,HELP!

Hi all, i need some help with the supsension, it seems to be stuck in the extended mode and when i lower it, the back end drops but then the message appears "Reset Suspension Height If Clear Of Obstacle" and it returns to extended mode. I have looked and there is deffinately no obstacle. when lowering only the back end lowers, and the front end does nothing!

Also when driving, it will let me travel over 50mph without saying supension lowering to mormal.

I have no faults and no light up on the dash.

Sorry if this has been covered before.

Any ideas please

Lee

One of rods that connect the level sensor to the suspension could be broken.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yes it has been to sleep a few times, eventually gave up as the compressor needed to cool.

Wiggs, the 4X4 screen looks normal and none of the wheels are flashing red.

Yes they all seem to be ok Wiggs. The suspension is working, but only on the back axle.

When the car is running can you hear a hissing noise coming from the front. My car had an issue with one of the pipes, it failed where it had been rubbing on part of the chassis.

I would take it for a drive ..give it chance to see if it will level out ...i have seen this before and after letting the compressor cool down and taking it out ..it leveled it self back and was fine

No hissing noise can be heard, i have taken it out for a drive round the block and it did seem to look at normal height, but i then lowered it to access height and it shot upto Extended mode. It is getting stuck between 2 diferent levels, ie lighting up the normal and offroad light on the hieght selection. Some time when i get out and shut the door i starts clicking from the back, like a relay. It has been to the dealer today for the rear aircon pipes to be rplaced. It's also going back tomorrow for this.

Try taking around again ..this time dont drop it to access height ..let it go to sleep then see what it does . Your not parked on awkward angle are you ? ..2 wheels on the kerb ? two off ?

Anyone know where the harness connector that feeds the front valve block is? Sounds to me like the car is trying and failing to deflate the front bags...

If your suspension is out of calibration (faulty height sensor for example) and you drop it to access mode it can bounce to extended mode. Mine did this when I was playing with the calibration.

A sensor may not be giving a fault code but just an incorrect output value.
