Swapping out brake pipes - big job, little job??

My front brake pipes have just been given a yellow card by the guy who serviced my truck yesterday. They're showing signs of corrosion. Not of immediate concern, but they're only going to continue to deteriorate as the wheels keep turning.

Question - is swapping these out a big job or little job? Number of hours it's likely to take to complete? He did say that if I needed to have the body off for any reason (ie to replace the turbo) I should have them done then. Is lifting the body a necessity for changing the brake pipes, or does it just make it a whole load easier?

Is he condemning the flexi pipes, the metal brake lines, or both?

I have replaced both and tbh there is no great difficulty that I can recall.
If you are joining new brake lines to the existing LR steel lines, you will need a decent flaring tool to flare the originals as they are quite tough. Generally though, its only the metal lines around the rear axle that seem most exposed to corrosion, and they are not difficult but can take time due to rust etc.

Have a roll of brake line, plenty of brake line joiners, a decent flaring tool, the required flexi's (including the rear inboard ones) retaining clips, and brake fluid before you begin. Thumbs Up
