Tailgate trim/handle Removal
Need some help please - I'm trying to get into the tailgate handle to add a camera. I've done some searching and it would be believed its a case of the damn plastic clips... but I can't get it off.
So the question is any tips (the four torx screws on the tailgate - do they need removing?)
I can't believ I'm asking as I was there when Fisherman had his ladder fitted at a SE meet my brain must be pickled!!
TA in advance Richard......

LR tech info. Hold on while I try and post a link to the right pageI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Anyway Richie
Undo the 4 torx.... take out the rubber grommet around the closer latch....pop the inside plastic panel off use a flathead to get you started (don't overly worry about the clips) ...unclip the light\ latch power harness on the handle ....undo the 2 bolt heads on the back of the handle ...bobs your uncle 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

OK there may have been a misunderstanding.... (i/m not fitting a ladder yet!!!)
I have done the job, I messed up now my handle 'system' doesn't quite meet the tailgate - and I'm worried that water will now pour in to the rear section of the D3
Now before you all go MUPPET!!! I've already said it to myself an number of times. I will be looking on Tuesday for Ideas as to how to rectify the situation from people who are less muppet than me.... those that are should not comment... its sore!!!!
Still smiling just Richard......
