Now I usually have the van lifted to stop tyre bulge memory or I remove the wheels over winter
Had new tyres last July and the fitter said he didn't seem it necessary to do so
Plus where I store it speaking with others none do it
What do you guys do or think

Never bothered Phil, and never had an issue in 25 years and with 7 caravans. I'm sure it doesn't do any harm to get the weight off but we use our van a few times over the winter so too much faff.

It only becomes a problem if they lose pressure, best to put a bit extra in when stood over winter as the lower the temp the lower the pressure, if stood in summer protect from the sun, it can do more harm than anything. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I always jack up the caravan, deflate the tyres and cover them. Sometime remove them. Many years ago an ALKO engineer told that it was a good idea to let the suspension "rest"

the issue some have with wheel removal is you cant then fit the "approved" wheel locks wich some insurers insist are fitted.

I used to use small plastic wheel rests, but they were a pita with a SA and even more so with a TA.
Now haven't bothered for a couple of years. Andy.

I obtained written approval from insurance co. when I removed my caravan wheels. No hassle really after initial resistance re "approved" wheel locks.
