Especially if leaky injectors diluted the oil and caused the original engine to seize ??

Just a quick question: can you replace only one of the injectors or is it recommended to do all 6?
They are not cheap, so would rather do one if I can. I believe it is cylinder 1 having a faulty injector.
Are the other ones then compensating and likely to go as well if I replace only 1?

It's the higher reading ones that will be causing you trouble, not the lower reading ones.
Ideally, they should all be around the ~1000 mark (as far as I know) but anything over 1400 is likely to trigger fault codes (Fuel trim at maximum limit and Injector restricted are amongst the most popular).

Thanks for this great how to ,
Today I changed a injector seal as it had failed.
After I removed injector the copper washer had fallen off the injector so I used this tyre extention tube
to remove it.
The tapped end fits perfect into the copper washer.

I’m taking mine out today.
Going really well with the only pain in the is the battery and loom.
So far everything has gone better than I had expected it would.
It helps if you stick your bonnet into super extended mode.

Any clues as to how to remove this plastic harness cover from the bulkhead so I can get to the back injector?
Sorted it
Hi All,
Any tips on how to remove this trim so I can get to the rear (Injector 6) please? I just cant seem to get enough access to get to unbolt the fuel rail.
Thanks

Coolant rail bolts
Hi,
Could I just revive this great threat and ask about the coolant rail bolts please.
I need to replace injector 6 which I believe is located too right when facing engine bay, but for the life of me I can’t seem to get a socket or spanner onto the coolant rail bolts as they are coming in from the back and for me access seem to be blocked by the windscreen trim.
Does anyone have any tips to get onto these bolts?
Thanks

The injector pressures are different between EU3 and EU4 protocols. Also, there are wiring loom differences as well as differences in the HPFP. It can be done, but changes to engine management programming would be required as well. If I were you I'd stick with the EU3 protocol as its a quieter smoother engine than EU4!! yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
