Terrafirma RAI
has anyone fitted a terrafirma RAI yet. Looks to be similar style to genuine LR version but much cheaper. Just wondered if anyone had seen one yet before I buy one

It says it's made by Mantec who made the OEM version so it ought to be the same?Stu

I fit one to mine recently, posted on here somewhere about it. Not sure how to add a link so all I'll say is be prepared to make it fit.

Fitted one on mine, fairly straight forward,
I had the following issues
The mounting plate for wing needed the lower tabs bending so they sit behind the wing panel properly.
The top mounting needed a rivet nut installing in the A pillar
The plate that holds the top of the RIA to the body will need modifying, on mine it was too long and sat at the wrong angle, I just bent it slightly

Have got my RAI fitted. As said above, the stainless plates need a bit of work to line up properly and the instructions provided are a bit of a joke (for example they tell you to fit the seal to the snorkel before bolting the mounting plate on,whereas the plate goes on first then the seal) and mine didn't come with any caps to fit over the bolt heads but other than that a straightforward fit.

Good job & some pics please.
Had my fingers hovering over the "buy it now" button for several months on one of these.
However not keen on drilling into the wing (fitted, then removed a LR one on my earlier D3).
So been thinking on a way of fitting that doesn't involve drilling.
Thought so far is to make a channel bracket that clamps behind the wing (where the holes should be drilled) and on the facing edge drill & thread two holes (or insert rivnuts), then screw on with shorter bolts.
Would also look at substituting one of the gaskets with automotive double sided tape.
But not sure if this would work until I buy one.
Btw, would suggest using the LR fitting guide (as posted above by G15 MTS ) for anyone wanting to fit one.🏴

I agree, with a bit more development i would think it would be quite easy to modify so that no drilling was needed. The a pillar is already drilled and the cover can be replaced but the wing is a bit more drastic Previous Discos
