Terrafirma rock sliders - any good??

I’m half way through fitting a second hand set of sliders to my D4, now I’ve got one one, I am surprised how close if sits to the body. I am not convinced it will offer much protection - what do people think?

What makes have others found to be good. (I can not afford pro-speed! )

They will do the trick Prospeed ones tend to stick out a little too far and are easy to catch on rocks.

That's not good, but if described as rock sliders, then they won't protrude as much as tree sliders. Confused

My tree sliders are Shires (similar price to Terrafirma), fitted Nov and was initially concerned if the powder coating was good enough - so far so good and no signs of rust on the welds.

You can see they do protrude as they should ....... for a tree slider
