Terrain Response Anomaly

It took me a little while to work out why my D4 was misbehaving, but it turned out that although Terrain Response appeared to be off, it was still in the previously selected mode.

I was at an event and had the system set to 'Grass, Gravel, Snow' when I parked-up and switched off.

When I got back in I noticed that the system was showing the programs as being 'off', yet the D4 still behaved as if it was in GGS mode.

Switching back in to that mode and then turning it off again appeared to clear it.

I've also had it happen in Mud & Ruts mode, which is more obvious as the Hill Descent light is on.

Is this a common fault? I assume it's a software gremlin, and fortunately it's still under warranty Smile

Having had two D4s and used both through special programs regularly, I wouldn't say it was at all common fault.

What are you using to determine the car was still handling as if it was in GGS?

Sluggish throttle response, HDC and start-stop inhibit lights still showing.

But the icon for the TR program is not.

Engaging and disengaging the relevant TR program resolves it.

if you suspect issues with your vehicle it is good you check whether its systems have not experienced issues registered as error codes which would help to point toward some direction on the way to rsolution of the problem
