I’ve just found a PX6 version with built in CarPlay, so just finalising with supplier and will be ordering . A bit more expensive, but not that much especially if I include cost of upgrading I was going to do.RLD CB Bracket

Just ordered and should be with me in a weeks time. This is the one I ended up ordering, 4g x 64gb PX6 version, and they did a better price than listed which was good.
I'll let you know once received and fitted, should be no different than Andy's although does have built in CarPlay which is what I wanted.RLD CB Bracket

Luke, one of the guys on the RRS forum took one for the team and bought it to try it out. He has discovered a number of fundamental hardware and software issues and has posted a review about it on YouTube. The conclusion is unsurprisingly DO NOT BUY.

Any way what you say is that it is a straightforward installation with no problems.
Can it be so?
I am interested in getting Carplay and why not a larger display in my D4 MY2011. Would like to keep function on steeringwheel and the display on the new screen with car info.
please give an honest test of installation and function of the tesla style screen!

Yeah I'll try to do a full installation, can't guarantee lots of pictures, not really got the time.
FYI, I've also done the Range Rover Dash upgrade (was the 2nd), so we'll see if that throughs any spanners in the works

When you receive the "px6" unit i would definitely check the specs out for this unit with some other app to verify . The tesla units with the PX6 and 4gB of ram are not meant to be out yet, especially when all them pictures show the older style unit and specs.
Also.. My unit was meant to have Carplay built in, I haven't checked properly ( im an android man) but im 99% sure it doesn't.
Also remember you have to rip down your original Stereo to remove one of the boards and apply it to this new one.
On that note, does any one have a wiring diagram of the large plug that connects to the rear satnav unit on the discovery 4. Would really help me out to see if the RRS has any differences

Yep 100% agree, I’ve seen a load of PX6 for other cars and accompanying videos/demos but not for Land Rover. Will be checking before I even pull the landrover screen apart, I believe it should boot and be able to get to system info and maybe check CarPlay.RLD CB Bracket

If you see the thread above with the video, that's the unit i purchased.
I had the android unit running off the PC PSU i have . 12v rail, my particular unit had a separate wire to run it on a bench so didn't have to attach anything to the Range rover harness.
All features worked without it being in the car ( obviously except the OEM interface)
Unsure if this unit will be the same as mine as in the AUX cable is integrated in the adapter, i know Gerd's unit on RRSport forum has a separate AUX cable he had to run to the rear of the car.

On first boot up, connect to the internet, go to google play, download and run CPU-Z,this app will read your system and you will be able to see if it matches or if it’s faked.Mine was all good.One week in and I’m still loving it.
