Small update, new PX6 based unit not shipped yet expected to be sometime next week. As expected and I believe other people mentioned, this is brand new design and seems early production units from the factory, although not the first batch. Have watched a number (large number) of videos on px6 units fitted in last few months and they are very much in the main very good. Looking forward to delivery.RLD CB Bracket

Tesla Style Android screen
I think I have finished my Tesla style screen installation.This is now my home screen,I have uninstalled most of the stuff that came from the supplier. I found this beautiful android launcher called CarWebGuru which allows me to configure my screen virtually any way I want.Touching the Land Rover icon gets me back to the original UI.
I enabled CarPlay with a dongle which connects automatically.
I’m more than happy with the way it’s all panned out.
I think it looks fantastic.

And what about LR original screen with wheel layout?
And phone and phone list?

Everything I had before is there, on a bigger brighter screen, that’s the beauty of this conversion.
All the steering wheel controls are just like before.
The button and knob controls that used to be below the original screen are now icons on the new screen

What is your MY? Do you have 2nd gen screen or later? Would it fit a MY2011+
What parts did you move over from original screen?
What NAV system are you using?

Looks great and CarWebGuru is one of the best launchers and will be the one I’m using. You can do a lot of customising and make it look like you want. Can’t wait for mine delivered.RLD CB Bracket

If you read my previous posts under this heading,Tesla Style Android,you will find lots of answers.Yes mine was a Gen 2,MY 2010.The px 6 costs more money. I reused most of the original head unit except the touch screen,bezel and lower mountings Etc in the photos below

Once I have my unit delivered (delayed further testing as PX6 is new model for LR) I’d certainly love to pick your brains, even if not exactly the same software it might help point me in right direction. I have background in software/programming etc so looking forward to what can be done.
