And imagine what the handling will be like when the Scorpions go off the boil at about 15k miles and you venture out to buy something better tyre wise........Scorpions are fitted not because they are the best tyre, but the best value for LR.

finance deals ending at end of september |
|
Was told same by Guy Salmon that to get a 0% or 5.9% deal car had to be registered and deal done before end of september which means what you want had better be in stock and as for deals continuing into final quarter of 09 they say they wont as land rover are subsidising both deals and as they say "are losing money"??????? got spec i wanted so more than happy with the 0% deal and car arrives this week

OK, so what do we think is the best tyre for fast road, summer? (Vredestein Wintracs seem to be winning the Winter tyre vote..)

I think that the Michelin Latitude is hard to beat for wear and performance, but a great deal depends upon the type of driving you do. For me, Scorpions appear to last about half as many miles as Michelins, and once they start to go "off", Scorpions are dreadful.

I found that my Latitude Tours got a bit harsh in the final 10K miles. Banged about a bit and I really felt cats eyes. Played around with the pressures etc, but no joy. Much prefer the AT2s, but I hope I get the 45K+ out of them like I did with the Lats.
