| How to test the throttle body? |

I'm plagued with a P0488 error code and the accompanying 'restricted performance'. That code relates to the throttle body, which I have replaced. I'm now wondering if the replacement part was a dud. Does anyone have a method to test it - without splashing out on a new one?
If some other fault was causing the throttle body to receive a bad signal and then to malfunction as a result, would I also have other fault codes? I have only the P0488.
