Hello All, so back in the frozen North of Utah and it feels bloody great to be home
Drove back on my last weekend, family follow next week - I must say the cheap gas was a result. $1.52 a gallon in Texas right now (sorry!). Anyway, you know me, had to stop for a few pics on the way
Quick detour into Oklahoma, as I'd never been there before
Arrived in Amarillo late on...
and ended up with lots of snow overnight.
Cadillac Ranch the next day. Very cool
Road from Amarillo into New Mexico were carnage. Cars & trucks off all over the place. Very glad to be in a Landy

Great little car museum just into New Mexico at a gas station!

Stopped of in a little town on the way. Snow getting much deeper - car was not happy after 300 miles of deep snow, it got deeper. Cue special programs off and suspension fault, but she kept plowing on. Suspension fault came up intermittently for the rest of the trip, but seems to be ok now.
I did not bother calling
Museum stop in Albuquerque. I can do this kind of think when I'm on my own - no dissenting parties in the car
Broken arrows recovered off of Spain when a B-52 came apart.
Continental divide
Made it to Moab after 13 hours on the road. Well desrved beers. 14F outside
Nice tame trail the next morning before heading back to SLC. Did not want to chance my luck on a Sunday morning going out on my own on a tougher trail with freezing temperatures and ice & snow. Very pretty though.
Again - SWMBO not in the car so setting my own travel plans

Anyway, back in SLC now. Touch wood complete the sale of the house in Texas on Friday, complete on the purchase here next week
