What are theses blanks for?
Camping in the D4 in the beautiful Dales this week.
Lying there on my back and in contemplation, I’m wondering what these blanks are for above the second row seats.
Is it RSE, air vents, oxygen …….?
Mines an HSE, so not quite poverty spec.

Don’t think that all markets had rear AC by default even in HSE… I had an originally Italian spec HSE and it wasn’t fitted with it. It’s rather rare on Finnish (Nordic?) spec D4 HSEs, too.

If it's that important to you I'd change vehicles instead.
I've owned a D4 without rear a/c and now have one with. I wanted it because the 'kids' moan in the second and third rows in the summer on longer trips without it (first world problem as I tell them).
Noticeable power drop off when both front and rear is in heavy use.
There are longer term issues with the pipes to the rear failing over time I read in here.
As for retrofit, you'll probably have the space (later Adblu vehicles won't) but it no idea as to the complexity.
