TheWhippet's D4

So finally took delivery of my new (to me) 59 plate Buckingham Blue D4. Intend to do more than just drive her, once finances allow. Already planning front spots, roofrack/roofbars, spare wheel security and a potential remap. Then a Bluetooth IID, some all terrain boots, treesliders and underbody protection. But just for now going to enjoy being back in the Green Oval and enjoy just driving.

I already had my dog (a Cairn, not a Whippet) riding shotgun when I picked it up the first time. My dogs are all considered "peoples" so they'll ride in the main part, not the boot (unless muddy - which applies to human passengers as well Smile)

Hi Guys, and thanks for the welcome and comments.

For the record my nickname "Whippet" doesn't come from the dogs that own me (Smile) ; Westie, Westie/Cairn cross and a Cairn. It comes from a cricket match where I successfully ran 6 runs to the other batsman's 4.

Having both run 4 I hurtled down to the other end screaming at him to run. Being an older chap to myself (at the time) he was leaning on his bat, chest heaving. He still had enough breath to yell " Get back you f**king Whippet", which I duly did.

The nickname just stuck. Smile

Holly whippet went to heaven 😪.
She had renal failure and I did everything I could to help her- blood transfusions the lot.
We now have her great granddaughter... Winnie Whippet

She's a bit young to ride shotgun yet!

So sorry. I can feel your pain. We had another Westie 3 years ago and lost him to an embolism. He was only 5. Still get choked at times thinking of him.

Winnie looks a dear. Molly, my Cairn pup (1 year old) will ride shotgun but she has to have a dog seatbelt to keep her from moving about too much.
