Agreed - always loved those little triangular shaped cartons of milk you got at primary school, good during the winter but even better if you got an extra one during the summer that had been left on the window sill all day to mature

So much love for "the good old days", I'm surprised you old boys aren't carrying out this exchange by letter... Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I tried to phone but the next door neighbour was using it.
In them there days up until the very end of the 70's we had a shared (party) line, pick up the phone to make a call and you could hear next door speaking. If you wanted to make a call you had to wait till they were finished theirs. Press the little button on top of the phone to get a dialling tone
Happy days

And they were seriously expensive to use, especially if you dared to use the phone before 1pm 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

You lot were wealthy! We didn't have a phone until the 80s!
Not much use in RAF Germany, admittedly... Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
