There is no point getting someone to work (or trying to work) on a vehicle if he/she generally hates them.
Some of the RR's problems may very well have come from the batteries (which he himself admitted were faulty).
As for Toyota's, well, they may be more reliable &/or robust but they just don't have the "it" factor that LR products have - & if you don't understand/appreciate what thet "it" is you never will.

I think the UN and Australians might argue that Toyotas have the 'it' factor.
Toyota also seems to have learnt from the past.......

I always thought it odd that a bed mounted cannon or machine gun are on the Toyota options list.

I have yet to driver any Toyota that appeals to me in any form.
