Thread censoring, so I am off
Well I am off guys, I am not going too have threads pulled and be bullied by a forum sponsor who does conversions......... Who doesn't like me sharing drawings and making conversion looms for plug and play conversions.
Seems if you make something your then stopped from selling a spare one on the forum as it will put them out of buisness
Rubbish
After all my D3/4 and RRS and FFRR threads I think this is
So as of now I request all my thread posts be removed as I will find another forum group to supply the info for free to all the community

More info please so we can all make a judgement. I have always felt this forum had a fairness and openness. I don't want to be a part of a forum which censors posts due to advertisers' influence.

Apparently because I made something, and then offered to supply them to members if they wanted it, ( thought that was the point of a forum) meant I was being commercial
I put feelers out considering to start a buisness doing conversions as I got made redundant in October last year.
But no interest so didn't bother, but a certain sponsor has obviously felt threaten by the little man of the north and put the boot in with the forum owner.
So censorship and the spirt of the forum has gone, and so am I
Thanks for the support guys, will find a new outlet for my info where it's appricated

Can you PM me what he said, Rob?
Do you read your PM's?!
I did read the FFRR thread but still missed the point
However, I think theres no harm in a bit of rivalry and if the other person is confident in their goods then they should have nothing to worry about. I've heard of a similar situation on here and think it's a joke that someone would get all touchy over someone else trying to sell a similar product.

For the record can I give my position on this.
There's been absolutely no communication to me from anyone else, sponsor or member, about what Rob's been offering/attempting to offer. What's been done by me and/or Stan on FFRR is to comply with the site's own commercial posting rules.
I have been reminding Rob of the site's rules on commercial/for-profit sales, with no reply. Rob has also been on the sites for a long time so I cannot believe there is a lack of understanding about the site's commercial posting rules.
Rob then posts here and on FFRR say he is wanting to start facelift conversions, and listing upgrade parts and looms for sale.
These are removed from public view as they look like commercial posts and I have had no reply from Rob about what is going on.
Having done this Rob then tells me he hasn't had the interest in conversions and is just clearing parts from his garage. This I can't possibly know beforehand from the zero contact I've had!
Why I am supposed to be ignoring the commercial rules here?
I don't feel I have been well engaged in what the site is being used for by Rob and the circumstances surrounding his posts/ads.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!
