Good luck with the retirement.
If you think retirement will be a comfy chair with a glass of beer/wine close to hand think again. Someone will find you lots of things to do and you are likely to be busier then a normal working person! Don't ask me how I know!
Cancer is a real curved ball to be thrown at anyone as we are just finding out.
Good luck with your 'peaceful and restful retirement'

Flack, I did not meet you personally, although knowledge and virtual daily life makes it seem like it in reality, I did meet Geoff. I was, I imagine, the only Spanish guy capable of planning a vacation in Scotland that allowed me to take advantage of a short stop in Kent after leaving the ferry in Dover, on a summer's day in the late afternoon, almost nightfall, and there was Geoff., wauting for me, I was late, he with his tattoos and his desire to please... only for activating cruise control, an original light and rain sensor on my then brand new D3 that I had previously plugged in with a new screen and continued traveling north, happy, with my turn signals at 3 recently scheduled knocks as well...and everything at the door of his house...I know some inconvenience arose, I even seem to recall that a couple of calls to you were necessary on the go... the swear words if there were any, I did not perceive them, my level of English does not allow it...but reading you I can understand in a certain way , first hand, what were the good flavors of those good times...
...but here and now, the protagonist is you, no Geoff., so without knowing you I wish you, Flack, the best and that you enjoy very much the good times that you still have to live in your new stage of life... from this Asturias, in the north of Spain, which now seems so far away, I wish you, from all my heart, health and good luck!!lost in translation!
