Time needed to check pipework.

Hi all, can anyone let me know (honestly) how long it would take to investigate a suspension fault? The Indy has charged me three hours to check for air leaks after a suspension light had shown twice (went away after a re-start). He says it showed an air supply fault. He said no faults were found and he has cleared the fault saying to let him know if it comes back.

I think three hours is a ridiculous amount of time to check pipework! Please let me know if I am wrong as I am sure another indy charged me 2.5 hours to change the pump a while ago and check the pipework.
