Timed climate question

Hi All

D4 2010, activated timed climate control with gapIID, on screen, in vehicle settings, next to valet shows the timer settings, small problem (I Hope), the manual on/off is greyed out and can not be activated, outside temp is 6C, I was under the impression that as long as the temp was no higher than 10C you could use the manual option ?

Anyone ?

On ours to get the manual option to work, engine and ignition off. Switch on the radio. Go to the climate screen and then the manual heat option is available. Give it a press, then the FBH starts.

This forum is wonderful, thank you LRkarlak and Skagg, just tried, as described, all working as it should, again thank you.

I guess it’s the button in the middle of the volume knob.

I don’t have a D4

I come back on this thread because something's not working as expected...
My FBH works perfectly for 30 mn when using the timed climate, but when I use the "manual heating" button, it starts and stop quite immediately. Any idea ?

Edit : I can succesfuly use the Thermo Test software to run the FBH. But... after the test, I have to reset the FBH (by removing supply plug for a minute) to be able to restart another test, otherwise the communication with W-bus doesn't start !
Also, I need to proceed this reset before to start the FBH with a remote and converter, and then it works only for a short time like with the "manual heating" button.

I'm suspecting a misunderstanding in the settings "auxiliary heater" and "parking heater" in the CCF file... To be continued.

Hi Shamrock

Did you get an answer to the problem, one of my friends has the same problem ? When using manual runs for a few min then stops, thanks.

Hi davecars !

Unfortunately, I still have no explication for this fail. Big Cry

I don't incriminate the converter because I have the same problem with the touch screen button as with the (remote controlled) converter. The heater starts venting, "auto" light in the car starts flashing, but after a while (around 1 min), the heater shuts down.
I can't incriminate the W-bus, as it works perfectly with the Thermo Test software (v2.14) threw the diagnostic cable.

Is it working on YOUR car ? If yes, what could be the difference ? What are your settings in CCF ?
Keep in touch, I keep on searching...

The converter is : https://www.ebay.ie/itm/334055699526

With remote : https://www.ebay.ie/itm/334172103471

The diagnostic cable is : https://www.ebay.ie/itm/334172075453
