Hi, this is my first post here, I am the new owner of a Discovery 4 (2014), and very pleased with it!
I have been reading around the forums and seen that there is the potential to sync up a Webasto remote to the car.
I have found the remote are available relatively cheap (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-RANGE-ROVER-HEATER-FOB-REMOTE-NEW-STYLE-T91-LR027493-WEBASTO-/301245849567) via ebay.
What I am unsure is regarding how I can find out if the appropriate receiver module is installed in the vehicle - even the land rover dealership seem a little unclear on this one I have found a post around how to programme the remote, if I could locate the receiver.
Other posts suggest it would be found in the rear on the right hand side, ive had a bit of a look around but not been able to find anything but the wires running to the light.
I was looking for some guidance on firstly if i am likely to have the module installed, and secondly where I can find this - if i get any where on this happy to put together some pics and a how to guide in case any one else is after the same info?
any help appreciated

Welcome to the forum If you haven't got the remote then you probably wont have the receiver and aerial needed to use the remote, these can be purchased from forum sponsors eg Wiggs and you will need to have the cars CCF file edited to let it know that you have fitted the remote etc Cheers Ian

thanks appreciate the fast response, I was unsure from the reading if they had been fitted as standard. If not then probably safe to assume the receiver module has not been installed, but would be great to confirm

Have just picked up a My14 HSE with Park Heat. I have all the timed park heat controls in the UI however the car did not come with a remote ? Should it come with one or is that an additional option on top of the Park Heat.
Note: Topix for my vin indicates PARK HEATING but nothing about remote Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
Sadly Gone : MY08 D3 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap

It will only have a remote if it had remote park heating ticked on the options list. You can fit this though, you will need a remote, receiver and an aerial and then you need somebody to activate it for you. Cheers Ian
