Tints and Sideprotection upgrade pics
Done few bits to the motor since we bought it, nothing as exiting as what most of you guys have done with your snorkels, winches, grills etc, but I do think the old look seams really bare now!

Looking better... you can get away with lamp guards, a-bar and driving lamps without turning it too off-roady looking for Mrs Choc Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Yeah, but luckily so far Mrs C hasnt muttered a word of complaint, cant beleive it really as she usually has a comment on everything (usually criticising and negative!!)
Quite like the look of the light grills, but cant really see what they would protect, stone chips would still be a problem, I think the next thing will be the LR A bar, although as I mentioned in another post, I think it blocks out the bonnet lettering which is one of the D3's better styling features

Remove the rubbing strips, leave the tints, get 19 inch HSE wheels and you will have the perfect disco3.

You want a twin then NickNick? 8)
Ive just put the blxxdy strips on!! , I was offered a set of 19" RRS alloys, but to be honest I really like the 18" Type 2 alloys that are on, dont like the Type 1's though, also I'm not sure if I would fancy putting lower profile tyres on cos at the moment I dont mind bumping up kurbs etc, but I may get too carefull with 19" and above on?

I'm sure that it will look better with lamp guards and will look cleaner with the mud deflectors '05 LR3 HSE V8 - Adriatic Blue - Larini Exhaust System - Lamp Guards - Dual battery system - Hidden 12k winch - Rasta Sump Guard

I like how the side strips look on your Disco.
I've also been debating bumpers - the A-bar for the same reason you say, it covers the emblem. I love the front end's happy face the best.
Now some womanly advice...discreetly buy Mrs. C something real nice right around the time before you buy any new mods. 8)I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?
In reality I am just a bit anal about the looks of the disco, and think that unadorned (& Silver) is best. I always think that sidestrips are a bit like plastic seat covers, sure they protect but WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE.
I would guess that the majority of posters here would disagree but would bet Geoff Upex would agree with me.
Also for looks you have got to have 19 inch wheels, looks undernourished on anything else, just wish they did 20inch Land Rover wheels as option on the disco
