Tips for jacking/wheel changing?

Guys - about to swap the wheels on the 05 for a larger type - I am planning in using my Halfrauds 2,5t trolley jack - and proposing on the wishbones (as I know it's unlikely to have enough "lift" using the jacking points) - the Jack has a "castelated" head - will they possibly damage the wishbones underside?

Whats the recommended torque setting for the wheel nuts?

Any other tips? (There's not a "jacking mode" in the menu somewhere is there??)

Thanks!

Yes first buy a proper jack 2.5t is fine but get the correct lift height

Start off in "off road" Mode

Wish bones NOT the way to do it although people do its your choice

140nm for you nuts

Which ever route you use you need to support it on axles stands.

All done.

Actually my jack was a Halfrauds 2T one - and it worked perfectly - jacked on the wishbones - no problems at all.

Used some axle stands just to be on safe side!

The factory wheel brace is an absolute joke - someone should be sacked for that decision! Good job I have an "X" brace and a Halfrauds extending model - which I will now probably carry in the car.
