Should I top up? Computer says no

Greetings all,

I'd like to hear your opinions if I should top up my oil level at the moment. From the manual, unless I see a message "add X amount of oil" I shouldn't bother topping up the oil. Now, here is the oil level given my the electronic gauge

My annual service is 10 days away so it isn't really of an issue. What is more problematic is that at the last service at the main dealer used Motul 8100 Eco Clean 5w30 for which I can not find any retailer that is stocking the damn thing.

The last service oil level was spot on and didn't need a top up but oil used was Castrol Edge. Is the Motul burning more that the Edge or it's just a coincidence? I've done 25k km on this oil

I think you’re fine, the amount of oil has been measured to be approximately in the middle of the scale.

Oil change interval for 3.0 liter TDV6 is ~25000 km (16k miles) so you’re at the upper limit.

What are your concerns?

If indeed I should top up or should I simply wait 10 days and do the service.

If you have checked it properly and it says ok, then you’re ok.

The level is ok but when did you last check it?, was it the same a week ago?, month ago?, more? - has it always been that level?

I've been checking it for the last 3 weeks and it has been more or less the same level, perhaps 1 bar difference. Last check this morning, when I made the photo. The problem is you need to wait around 15 minutes for a readout.

Speaking of the bars, does each bar correspond to 100ml? This was the case on my Audi, which would give an instant oil readout even with the engine running, if I remember correctly.

Its not the most accurate of gauges - I used to check mine daily so I could see if any sudden drops.
I wouldn't worry
