Now when it comes to servicing & repairing my Land Rovers, I've been very fussy about who I entrusted to look after them.
Decided to bypass Ripon Land Rover this time (who in the past have given me excellent service) and go with Green Oval.
Cannot fault them one bit, everything gone through in detail before and after service, with all work carried out as it should be, using genuine LR parts.
Nice modern, clean premises and the car had a first class wash at the end.......
....... and I saved over £120 on main dealer pricing.
Top marks Green Oval............ I'll be back  ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I assume you took the matter up direct with them ? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Glad someone else has said their reservations....I looked back in my service book to see the break down of who I have used over nine years.....between two main dealers one I trust implicitly the other more local tome right know who have regressed after thier superb service manager sadly passed away recently
My LR experience is over18 years so used the two main dealers before the Disco 3 & FL2
Green oval I have used three times on the two LR's I currently have.
.....not anywhere near as knowledgable as the other larger independent/s in Leeds.... By a huge amount.
Green Oval - I won't be going back....specific reasons that were taken up.....not on workmanship.....if workmanship could be an issue in undoing a drain plug & pouring the oil I supplied in...but on a business matter.
They ain't that low cost....either....comparatively to main dealers or the other Leeds Indie
On the whole you use a dealer or an indie or the local mechanic to do what you can't or aren't prepared to do....you hope they have the knowse, experience & initiative to do what's needed in the upkeep if your Disco investment. In the event of an issue you hope you have (some if any) comeback......a close work colleague came unstuck badly.
Note: I heard a strong rumour they have a " link" to the Leeds main dealer as a "bargain basement" service outlet... BREXIT - done properly.

The current place where BM soddin W currenly are
Fourx4 in Sheepscar Street. Honest knowledgable guys.
I have yet to go to & patronise another Indie in Huddersfield that gets good words said. BREXIT - done properly.

Used FourX4 in Leeds too when I had my TD5, yes they where great guys and got to the bottom of my problem (coolant loss) and a great price too, made them scratch their heads though but sorted it for me.

Well thankfully I've only had good experiences of green oval. Been let down and ripped off many times before by various garages (avoid F1 auto centre Lincoln! Oh and five star in hudds) and always approach garages with bad expectations, and still do when it comes to small jobs locally especially on the girlfriends TT.
But the first email back from Brian was great, must have taken him ages to go through all the for and against of all the different options for the work I was enquiring about, the costs of each, and advice. I'd only just bought the car and found out it had lots wrong, so having someone take the time be honest and talk it though openly gave me confidence to trust him, and feel a bit better after feeling a bit shocked at the turkey I'd chosen haha. Been back a few times and can't say a bad thing about them and Brian is always willing to help with advice and answering questions.
