Yes you do get ~30mpg sitting at 60mph on Mways and other roads, 36.something was my real world best mpg doing that. It helps if it’s hot, I think that makes the tyres softer and less resistant. Also you get slightly better mpg with soooooperdooooper diesel, not much and the extra cost outweighs the increase in economy. Thumbs Up

However if you don't have the patience, you can wave farewell to Derek somewhere around Calais, then see him again the other side of a monumental traffic jam in Luxembourg Whistle
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

See, just coz you’re going fast doesn’t mean you get there any earlier. Laughing Laughing

ISTR you also overtook me on the Belgian Mway on the way back some considerable time after you disappeared in front of me, mainly coz I went a more scenic route. Whistle Whistle

Good trips. Thumbs Up

Ukraine 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Corris GreyDiscovery 4

Different tyres have different rolling resistance and impact fuel economy (per the fuel economy rating ). Not sure what difference an A vs E rating gives, but my last tyre change with a better rating made about 2mpg difference for me.
Cheers
