Sounds like a new lock internals will be required, not unknown.

One of my rear doors sometimes (but not always) does not unlock. Do you think that is the same thing?

Hi,
I have the exact same issue with rear door.
Does anyone know the rough price or stealers to repair this as unfortunately my car is no longer under warranty.

The latch is easy DIY. I did my last one in my lunch hour. Took about 30mins with a stop for a coffee in the middle.

This happened to me twice. First time fixed myself but was a Censored of a job. Second door was £80ish for a lock and an hours labour so another £80 in the case of my dealer at the time.

Actually happened 3 times total but that 3rd was a warranty job on lock 2 that was originally dealer fitted so there is an advantage to not fitting yourself sometimes Thumbs Up

My alarm kept going off. Always showed the same door causing it. Dealer replaced the latch mechanism. Common issue apparently.

just completed this task on my 56 plate. the rear door lock has not worked properly for the last 8 months. luckily i disovered that by activating the child lock the door would lock and unlock correctly. I assume with the childlock engaged there is less drag on the motor as there is one less cable to pull. anyway this gave me time to obtain a replacement lock and do the repair in my own time. excellent guide and took about 4 hours but i wasnt rushing and about 2 hours of that was trying to get the door handle cable reengaged. the guide is not kidding when it says its fiddly.

I have three doors not working so if I'm not stealing the OP's first dibs would express my interest in your lock Danny. PM inbound.
