I recommend the heated steering wheel too, but the spare wheel can be bought from here for a fraction of the price, as can the removable tow bar.

Every penny helps.

Do you need the locking rear diff? IMHO the remote FBH is of more day to day benefit for a few months a year unless you regularly and seriously go into the rough stuff (or are made of sterner stuff than some of us Southerners!)

True, good thinking batman. And 17"ers are cheap as chips. Though never heard if a kit to fit 17s to a D4, any details?

I think you will find 17 inch won't fit. Best you ban do is 18 inch Compomotive wheels.

If pennies are tight I recommend going for the after-market privacy glass option. You can get it for just over fifty percent of the factory price and the two obvious benefits apart from cost are that you can have the much darker limo tint and have enough money over to buy the heated steering wheel which you will love in those old months. Thumbs Up

And whilst I'm putting my two penneth in, personally speaking, unless you are a very, very serious off roader I'd much prefer timed climate instead of the diff and you save another £50.00 Thumbs Up

thanks for all the tips guys but I am a very series off roader, plan to use the car as an overlander as well and I know 17'' wont fit because the car is on brembo's but the kit I am looking at changes the front discs to smaller ones, similar size to that on a d3 but all high performance parts to deliver the same braking performance .

here's the company that does the kit www.mudtech4x4.com I also plan on using the suspension control unit

what do u guys think
